It is important to ask questions, but more important to take action. Global Research Technologies has asked their question and now they are on the road to an actionable technology.
CO2 sells for $300 a ton to commercial bottlers. Currently industrial polluters use carbon catching smokestack filters to capture carbon dioxide and resell it to industry players like Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Think about that next time you drink a Coke, the bubbles come directly from burned crap!
Global Research Technologies has found a more efficient way to harvest CO2. This might not seem like a new idea. In fact, it seems down right obvious to capture excess CO2 from the atmosphere. Unfortunately current technologies require pipes or trucks to transport CO2 from factories or the capturing of ambient CO2 requires massive amounts of energy.
However, Global Research Technologies has come up with a novel solution that looks less like the towers of old and more like a toilette brush. The bristle of tubes and compressors allows air to passively flow through the device while CO2 is extracted (via a proprietary process). The device reportedly mimics the processes used by trees to collect CO2.
The idea is to replace the current system that requires CO2 to be trucked around the country. For example, about once a week fast-food restaurants require trucks to deliver CO2 so that their soda fountains don’t go flat. Instead of having that truck on the road, Global Research wants to install carbon catching boxes to supply an unlimited amount of carbon dioxide.
Hopefully this technology will catch on and help counteract carbon emissions.
