If you build something in New York, they build it five times larger in Dubai. If you construct a bridge in Portland, they build an artificial island in Dubai. So, it only makes sense that when you go to play tennis at your local court, patrons of Dubai’s newest super hotel, Burj Al Arab, take the elevator to their exclusive court, located 690 feet above the ocean on a man made island.
Frankly, I love tennis, but I would definitely not want to play on this court. First just the pure cost of tennis balls, but I guess if you can afford the ultra elusive Burj Al Arab hotel you can probably afford to lose a few tennis balls. Second, not being a fan of hight, I could not walk to the edge like they do in the video below. That wind is crazy, I would be afraid a strong gust might just send me tumbling to the ground.
Watch the the court in use in this video!
